Hayley Wommack; Owner, CrossFit Level 2 Trainer
Hayley is a Level 2 certified CrossFit trainer, NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USAW Sports Performance Coach and has completed the CrossFit Endurance trainer course. Hayley has an undergraduate and masters degree in Exercise Physiology. Hayley found CrossFit in 2012 after a lifetime of competing as a multi-sport athlete. CrossFit challenges Hayley and fulfills her drive to compete. Hayley is very passionate about CrossFit and is dedicated to helping the community of Oxford reach their health and fitness goals.
Matt Hague; CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
Matt is a registered nurse and has his Bachelors of Science in Nursing. He is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and has attended the CrossFit Mobility course. Matt has coached CrossFit since 2013 and is a founder/owner of Wheat State CrossFit in Wichita, KS. Matt started CrossFitting at an affiliate in August 2012, at which time he also ran his first 5k. Since then he has competed in several CrossFit competitions, sprint distance triathlons, half marathons, trail half marathons, and numerous other races. If Matt isn’t at the box coaching or doing a WOD with a class, you will find him running around the streets and trails Oxford (with or without a wt’d vest on), hunting or fishing, or spending time with his wife (if it’s Friday they are eating pizza and binge watching some show on Netflix). He is passionate about CrossFit and movement patterns and loves watching his athletes improve over time. He moved to Oxford, MS in August of 2015 with his wife Susan, who is a professor at the University of Mississippi.
Gina DeLucia; CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
Gina is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but is currently a student at the University of Mississippi. She began CrossFit when she was just 16 years old after many years of gymnastics, and other fitness related activities. She instantly fell in love with the sport and soon after received her CrossFit L1 training certification so she could share her knowledge with others. Gina loves competing at local competitions and has big dreams of someday competing at an elite level. But for now, she enjoys coaching and motivating others here at Maxx Strength and Conditioning.
Cheyanne Clouse; CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
Cheyanne is a Level 1 certified CrossFit trainer and ACE Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor . Cheyanne graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Wingate University in North Carolina is currently pursuing a masters degree in Health Promotion at Ole Miss. Cheyanne was a competitive swimmer in college and has been a CrossFit coach since 2015. When Cheyanne isn’t in the box or at class, you’ll find her working at the Turner Center as the Fitness Graduate Assistant for Campus Recreation. She is originally from upstate New York and has the sweetest, cutest cat name Malibu.
Alex Bethay; CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
Alex is currently a senior exercise science/kinesiology major at the University of Mississippi and plans to apply to physical therapy school. Alex started getting into fitness during high school, where he ran track for three years and played soccer for two. When a Crossfit gym opened up in his hometown of Booneville, MS Alex decided to take up CrossFit, as he was looking for something consistent and fun for his workouts. He instantly fell in love with the sport and the community within the gym. Once Alex moved to college he knew he had to find a Crossfit home in Oxford as well. Alex became a coach because he likes to see people fight for their goals, and he loves being able to lead our athletes towards those goals.
